Wild ideas for tomorrow! Following this motto, the Theresienwiese in Heilbronn will be transformed into a major sustainability festival for four days in June 2022. Here, teenagers and young adults can develop answers to the question of how we want to live and learn in the future. How can each and every one of us tackle the climate crisis? What is sustainable consumption? How does citizen science work? In addition to the many hands-on activities, the temporary tent city also offers cultural and culinary highlights such as live music, theater, food trucks and a sustainability fair. In over 100 workshops and lectures, you can try out new things, get to know people from all over the world and shape the future together. With the three main themes of creating knowledge, preserving nature and shaping the future, there is something for everyone. In lectures, environmental initiatives and NGOs present themselves and their projects for a sustainable future. In the workshops, you can build solar vehicles, make beeswax cloths as an alternative to cling film or make music with paper. At a clothes swap party, discarded items of clothing can be swapped for the clothes of others.
There is a lot to experience at Wild Spaces. We developed a website that is both lovingly and clearly designed to help you keep track of the variety of events on offer. The interactive event overview can be filtered by day, topic and venue. Groups and individual bookings can be made via the integrated booking form and an illustrated map helps with orientation on site. We implemented a social media wall on the website so that visitors to Wild Spaces can share their own perspectives on the festival.
