Recruiting-Event Experience-Oriented Exhibition

With the Study Expedition, we have given the annual major event for prospective students at Hochschule Bremen more than just a new coat of paint. Over 1,000 visitors went on an exciting expedition to their individual study goals for the first time in March 2014.

Following the motto Study Expedition, Hochschule Bremen invites you to an active and interest-oriented exploration of study options. The starting point is a central activity area designed in the style of an airport terminal.

With large topic columns on the five faculties of Hochschule Bremen, a moderated stage program and a wide range of advice, an initial overview of topics and questions relating to studying at the university is offered here. From here, visitors start their expedition to their study goals.

Starting point Faculty presentation & counseling offer

In the event format we designed and implemented, visitors approach the information on practical questions from the individual degree programs, which are shown on one topic column per faculty. University lecturers from the faculties provide information about the range of studies.

Afterwards, study scouts lead visitors in small groups to the faculties' separate action zones and the presentations of the individual degree programs. To make it easier to find your way around the location, a colored guidance system is applied to the walls and floors of the central access routes.

Journey as a Metaphor Orientation, Departure, Destinations

The idea behind the event concept is that the end of school and the start of studies is also associated with the start of an exciting new phase of life. This image of travel and departure is taken up to encourage active engagement with the wide range of topics offered by the university. Study goals become travel destinations, the study advisory service becomes a travel agency, and the faculties become tour operators. Equipped with an event overview reminiscent of a flight schedule or a map, the prospective students start their expedition.
